Woman Found Hanging in Bhojpur; In-Laws Arrested Over Dowry Allegations

A 35-year-old woman, Priyanka Kumari, was allegedly murdered and her body hanged from a ceiling fan by her in-laws in Bhojpur district over dowry demands. Her brother filed a complaint alleging she was harassed for dowry since her 2021 marriage. Police have registered an FIR against her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, husband's sister, and elder brother. Two accused have been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining three individuals. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

भोजपुर जिले में 35 साल की प्रियंका कुमारी की दहेज की मांग को लेकर ससुराल वालों ने कथित तौर पर हत्या कर दी और शव को पंखे से लटका दिया। मृतका के भाई ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई है कि 2021 में शादी के बाद से उसे दहेज के लिए परेशान किया जा रहा था। पुलिस ने उसके पति, ससुर, सास, ननद और बड़े भाई के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज की है। दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है और बाकी तीन को पकड़ने के प्रयास जारी हैं। शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है।
