Over 50 Companies File IPO Papers Ahead of Sebi Deadline in September

Over 50 companies submitted Draft Red Herring Prospectuses (DRHPs) to Sebi in September, marking the busiest month for such filings in a year. This surge is attributed to a regulatory deadline requiring audited financials in DRHPs to be no more than six months old. Companies with a March 31 fiscal year-end must file before September 30 to avoid needing a fresh audit and delaying their IPO plans. This regulatory push, combined with returning market activity after volatility, has intensified the IPO rush, with significant fundraising observed in recent months.
