Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal Among Opposition Leaders Detained During CEC Protest

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were among several opposition leaders detained on Saturday. The leaders were protesting to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kejriwal, who was detained outside his home while attempting to march to the protest site, shared a video of himself and other party members inside a police bus. He stated that the country's youth have awakened and that Prime Minister Modi's dictatorship will not prevail.

पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी और दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल शनिवार को कई विपक्षी नेताओं के साथ हिरासत में लिए गए। नेता मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे। केजरीवाल, जिन्हें विरोध स्थल की ओर मार्च करने की कोशिश करते समय उनके घर के बाहर हिरासत में लिया गया था, ने खुद और अन्य पार्टी सदस्यों का पुलिस बस के अंदर का एक वीडियो साझा किया। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के युवाओं में जागृति आ गई है और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की तानाशाही नहीं चलेगी।
