Pollution Harms Lungs Even Without Coughing, Doctors Warn
Aaj Tak · health
Air pollution in Delhi and other parts of India is high, but symptoms like coughing are not always present. Doctors state that even without visible symptoms, fine particles like PM2.5 can enter the lungs and cause inflammation. This damage may not be immediately apparent, making air pollution a serious health threat. Prolonged exposure can impair lung function and increase the risk of respiratory diseases like asthma and COPD. It is crucial to take precautions against poor air quality, even if you feel fine.
