Drishyam 3 writer Aamil Keeyan Khan has clarified that Jaideep Ahlawat's character, SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, should not be labelled a villain. Khan explained that the character is merely a police officer performing his duty to apprehend a criminal. He noted that the Drishyam franchise's strength lies in its morally grey characters, where no one is entirely right or wrong. Khan praised Ahlawat's performance, stating he perfectly embodied the role and deserves the admiration he is receiving. The film is also nearing Rs 500 crore at the global box office.
