Leaders Oppose Jayapur's Shift to Nabarangpur Postal Division

Political leaders and residents in Koraput district are opposing a proposal to shift Jayapur town to the new Nabarangpur postal division. Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka, MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, and former minister Rabi Narayan Nanda have questioned the rationale behind altering the town's existing postal jurisdiction. They argue that Jayapur has historically been an important administrative and commercial centre and should remain under the Koraput postal division. While welcoming improvements to postal services, they stress that such restructuring should not inconvenience the public or disregard local sentiments.
