US retail giant Walmart is investigating allegations that employees at its subsidiary Flipkart received over ₹150 crore in kickbacks from vendors. Whistleblower complaints from Flipkart's smartphones and luggage divisions prompted the probe. Employees allegedly accepted payments and favours for preferential treatment on the e-commerce platform, including increased sales visibility. This marks Walmart's third investigation into alleged financial misconduct at Flipkart in under three years, with previous probes leading to dismissals. Flipkart stated it has robust governance processes and takes concerns seriously.

अमेरिकी रिटेल कंपनी वॉलमार्ट अपनी सहायक कंपनी फ्लिपकार्ट के कर्मचारियों के खिलाफ ₹150 करोड़ से ज़्यादा की रिश्वत लेने के आरोपों की जांच कर रही है। फ्लिपकार्ट के स्मार्टफोन और लगेज डिवीज़न से व्हिसलब्लोअर की शिकायतों के बाद यह जांच शुरू हुई है। आरोप है कि कर्मचारियों ने ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म पर ज़्यादा बिक्री दिखाने और तरजीह देने के लिए वेंडरों से पैसे और फ़ायदे लिए। यह पिछले तीन सालों में फ्लिपकार्ट में वित्तीय गड़बड़ी को लेकर वॉलमार्ट की तीसरी जांच है, पिछली जांचों में कुछ लोगों को निकाला भी गया था। फ्लिपकार्ट ने कहा है कि उनके पास मज़बूत गवर्नेंस प्रक्रियाएं हैं और वे चिंताओं को गंभीरता से लेते हैं।
