Dalit organisations in Karnataka marched to the Superintendent of Police office in Dharwad on November 3, demanding justice for three families allegedly subjected to atrocities. Protesters highlighted cases of assault, threats, and sexual abuse in Dharwad district, alleging police delayed registering complaints while filing counter-cases against victims' families. They seek impartial investigations into these counter-cases, action against accused individuals, and protection for victims' families. The organisations also called for a higher-level inquiry into alleged police lapses and the suspension of concerned officers.
