Gruha Jyothi Scheme Dominates Bengaluru's Guarantee Spending

The Gruha Jyothi scheme has claimed nearly half of the expenditure on Karnataka's five guarantee schemes within Bengaluru, totaling ₹9,625 crore for free electricity since August 2023. This accounts for 46.65% of the ₹20,632.77 crore spent in the city. Gruha Lakshmi follows with ₹5,309.52 crore, and Shakti with ₹3,963.61 crore. This spending pattern in Bengaluru differs significantly from the overall state expenditure, where Gruha Lakshmi leads. The government is also reviewing Gruha Jyothi and Gruha Lakshmi beneficiaries.

गृह ज्योति योजना ने बेंगलुरु में कर्नाटक की पांच गारंटी योजनाओं पर हुए खर्च का लगभग आधा हिस्सा ले लिया है। अगस्त 2023 से मुफ्त बिजली के लिए कुल ₹9,625 करोड़ खर्च हुए हैं। यह शहर में खर्च किए गए ₹20,632.77 करोड़ का 46.65% है। गृह लक्ष्मी योजना ₹5,309.52 करोड़ के साथ दूसरे स्थान पर है, और शक्ति योजना ₹3,963.61 करोड़ के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर है। बेंगलुरु में खर्च का यह पैटर्न पूरे राज्य के खर्च से काफी अलग है, जहां गृह लक्ष्मी योजना सबसे आगे है। सरकार गृह ज्योति और गृह लक्ष्मी लाभार्थियों की समीक्षा भी कर रही है।
