Vizhinjam Port Receives First Import Container From China

The Vizhinjam International Port in Thiruvananthapuram has received its first import container, arriving on the MSC Sabrina III ship from Ningbo, China. This marks a significant step for the port, which began exim operations a few months ago. The container, carrying engineered building boards for the construction sector, was booked by BSG Logistics for Altair Group. This new facility aims to reduce dependency on other ports, cutting down freight movement time and costs, and retaining revenue within Kerala.

तिरुवनंतपुरम के विझिंजम इंटरनेशनल पोर्ट पर MSC सबरीना III जहाज से निंगबो, चीन से पहला आयात कंटेनर आ गया है। यह पोर्ट के लिए एक बड़ा कदम है, जिसने कुछ महीने पहले ही एक्सिम (निर्यात-आयात) परिचालन शुरू किया था। यह कंटेनर, जिसमें निर्माण क्षेत्र के लिए इंजीनियर्ड बिल्डिंग बोर्ड थे, BSG लॉजिस्टिक्स ने Altair ग्रुप के लिए बुक किया था। इस नई सुविधा का उद्देश्य अन्य पोर्ट पर निर्भरता कम करना, माल ढुलाई का समय और लागत घटाना, और केरल के भीतर राजस्व बनाए रखना है।
