Researchers have discovered CLOSEDQUORUM, a new malware that uses multiple AI models like DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, and Google Gemini to decide its next actions. This "hive mind" approach allows it to function even if some AI services are unavailable. The malware, designed for Windows, aims to steal login credentials and cryptocurrency. Cisco Talos developed an open-source framework, CAIRN, to track AI-integrated malware, noting a rise in such threats as attackers operationalize AI.
