This follows Elon Musk's claim that Starlink was being blocked by 'oligarchs' in India, which the government refuted. The SJM stated that internet-based social media fuels rumors and anti-national narratives, making internet disruptions necessary during law-and-order challenges. They also expressed concern that Starlink's technology could bypass Indian gateways, hindering lawful monitoring and enforcement.

RSS के एक सहयोगी संगठन SJM ने राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा चिंताओं का हवाला देते हुए भारत सरकार से Starlink की वाणिज्यिक सैटेलाइट ब्रॉडबैंड सेवाओं को अनुमति न देने का आग्रह किया है। यह तब हुआ जब Elon Musk ने दावा किया कि Starlink को भारत में 'कुलीन वर्गों' द्वारा ब्लॉक किया जा रहा था, जिसे सरकार ने खारिज कर दिया था। SJM ने कहा कि इंटरनेट-आधारित सोशल मीडिया अफवाहों और राष्ट्र-विरोधी आख्यानों को बढ़ावा देता है, जिससे कानून-व्यवस्था की चुनौतियों के दौरान इंटरनेट बाधित करना आवश्यक हो जाता है। उन्होंने यह भी चिंता जताई कि Starlink की तकनीक भारतीय गेटवे को बायपास कर सकती है, जिससे कानूनी निगरानी और प्रवर्तन में बाधा आ सकती है।
