Maharashtra's state government has decided to halt the registration of sales agreements for unauthorised buildings and flats that violate approved plans. This move aims to prevent home buyers from being defrauded by developers selling properties with irregularities. The decision follows numerous complaints regarding illegal constructions across major urban areas like Mumbai, Thane, and Pune. Sub-registrars are now mandated to verify project approvals, occupancy certificates, and approved building plans before registering any sale documents.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने अनधिकृत इमारतों और स्वीकृत योजनाओं का उल्लंघन करने वाले फ्लैटों के बिक्री समझौतों के पंजीकरण पर रोक लगाने का फैसला किया है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य डेवलपर्स द्वारा अनियमितताओं वाली संपत्तियों को बेचने से घर खरीदारों को ठगे जाने से रोकना है। यह निर्णय मुंबई, ठाणे और पुणे जैसे प्रमुख शहरी क्षेत्रों में अवैध निर्माणों के संबंध में कई शिकायतों के बाद आया है। अब उप-पंजीयकों को किसी भी बिक्री दस्तावेजों को पंजीकृत करने से पहले परियोजना की मंजूरी, अधिभोग प्रमाण पत्र और स्वीकृत भवन योजनाओं को सत्यापित करना अनिवार्य है।
