TIPRA Motha Candidate Shot, Injured in Tripura

A Village Committee candidate for Tripura's ruling TIPRA Motha party was seriously injured after being shot by unidentified assailants in Gomati district on Monday. Patitra Reang was attacked while exiting his vehicle and was taken to Gomati District Hospital, where his condition was reported as stable. Two other party supporters also sustained injuries during the incident. Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the attackers. Separately, a polling agent was injured in North Tripura during voting.
