Rupee Gains 14 Paise On Strong Equity Markets

The Indian rupee opened stronger against the US dollar on Friday, appreciating by fourteen paise in early trade. This early gain was supported by upbeat domestic equity markets. However, sustained foreign fund outflows and firm crude oil prices limited further appreciation. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East also contributed to investor caution towards emerging market currencies, suggesting the rupee may trade in a narrow range.

शुक्रवार को भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले मजबूत खुला। शुरुआती कारोबार में इसमें चौदह पैसे की मजबूती आई। शेयर बाज़ार में तेज़ी से इसे सहारा मिला। लेकिन, विदेशी फंड की लगातार निकासी और कच्चे तेल की ऊंची कीमतों ने इसे और बढ़ने से रोका। मध्य पूर्व में भू-राजनीतिक तनाव ने भी निवेशकों को उभरते बाज़ारों की मुद्राओं से सावधान कर दिया है, जिससे रुपये की चाल सीमित रहने की उम्मीद है।
