HC: Community Certificate Verified Post Retirement

The Madras High Court has ruled that an employee's community certificate can be verified even after retirement, stating that this process is not barred by the employee's superannuation. Justice D Bharatha Chakravarthy emphasized that withholding service benefits due to delayed verification is akin to allowing a thief to retain stolen property. The court dismissed petitions from an employee who retired in 2013, having been appointed based on a 1980 community certificate.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने कहा है कि रिटायरमेंट के बाद भी कर्मचारी के कम्युनिटी सर्टिफिकेट की जांच हो सकती है। जस्टिस डी. भरत चक्रवर्ती ने कहा कि रिटायरमेंट से यह प्रक्रिया नहीं रुकती। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि देरी से जांच के कारण सर्विस बेनिफिट्स रोकना, चोरी का माल रखने जैसा है। कोर्ट ने 2013 में रिटायर हुए एक कर्मचारी की याचिका खारिज कर दी, जिसे 1980 के सर्टिफिकेट के आधार पर नौकरी मिली थी।
