Pollution restrictions have been imposed across Delhi-NCR under GRAP Stage I due to worsening air quality, with the AQI reaching 244 on October 21. These are the season's first curbs targeting dust, vehicle emissions, and waste burning. Offices are not subject to mandatory work-from-home orders at this stage, though employers are encouraged to arrange shared commuting. Construction activities can continue if dust control rules are followed, and open burning of waste is banned. Stricter checks on vehicle pollution certificates are in place, and certain buses face restrictions.
