A 45-year-old land broker from Ahmedabad has lost Rs 90.2 lakh in an online investment scam. He was befriended on Facebook by a woman who, along with an accomplice, convinced him to invest in a cryptocurrency trading platform called Trust Coin. After initially investing Rs 1 lakh and seeing purported profits, he was repeatedly asked for more money for various reasons, including alleged tax and regulatory issues. He eventually learned the documents were fake and filed a complaint with cybercrime police.

अहमदाबाद के एक 45 वर्षीय प्रॉपर्टी ब्रोकर से ऑनलाइन इन्वेस्टमेंट स्कैम में 90.2 लाख रुपये ठगे गए हैं। फेसबुक पर एक महिला ने उससे दोस्ती की और अपने साथी के साथ मिलकर उसे Trust Coin नाम के एक क्रिप्टो ट्रेडिंग प्लेटफॉर्म में निवेश करने के लिए मना लिया। शुरुआत में 1 लाख रुपये का निवेश करने और कथित मुनाफा देखने के बाद, उससे बार-बार और पैसे मांगे गए, जिसमें कथित टैक्स और रेगुलेटरी मुद्दे शामिल थे। आखिरकार उसे पता चला कि दस्तावेज नकली थे और उसने साइबर क्राइम पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई।
