INDIA Bloc MPs Meet President Murmu, Demand Repeal of Assembly Polls

INDIA bloc leaders met President Droupadi Murmu on Friday, submitting a memorandum with four demands including the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and the repeal of assembly elections held over the last two years. They also called for the repeal of a 2023 law granting immunity to election commissioners and the restoration of 13.30 crore voters allegedly deleted from electoral rolls. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed surprise at the President's response and announced plans to approach the Supreme Court on Monday.

INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं ने शुक्रवार को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू से मुलाकात की और एक ज्ञापन सौंपा जिसमें पिछले दो वर्षों में हुए विधानसभा चुनावों को रद्द करने और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे सहित चार मांगें शामिल थीं। उन्होंने चुनाव आयुक्तों को छूट देने वाले 2023 के कानून को रद्द करने और कथित तौर पर मतदाता सूची से हटाए गए 13.30 करोड़ मतदाताओं की बहाली की भी मांग की। कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने राष्ट्रपति की प्रतिक्रिया पर आश्चर्य व्यक्त किया और सोमवार को Supreme Court जाने की योजना की घोषणा की।
