पूर्व सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे ने कहा कि लंबी भारत-चीन सीमा पर असहमति स्वाभाविक है और झड़पें जारी रहेंगी। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि गलवान संघर्ष ने चीन को एक स्पष्ट संदेश दिया कि सीमा विवादों के लिए सैन्य समाधान अब कोई विकल्प नहीं है। भारत ने स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि बलपूर्वक सीमा बदलने के एकतरफा प्रयासों को स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। नरवणे ने बताया कि सीमांकन की स्पष्ट कमी के कारण वास्तविक नियंत्रण रेखा (LAC) की अलग-अलग धारणाएं बनती हैं, जिससे टकराव की संभावना पैदा होती है।
