SIPs Outperform Lumpsum In 5 Equity Categories

Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) have demonstrated superior returns compared to lump sum investments across five equity fund categories over the past two years. In the largecap category, SIPs yielded an average return of 0.3% while lump sum investments saw a negative 3.7%. Flexicap funds showed similar trends, with SIPs earning 5.8% against a negative 0.7% for lump sums. Smallcap funds recorded the highest SIP returns at 15.9%, significantly outperforming the 3.1% from lump sum investments. This performance highlights the benefit of staggered investing.
