A 19-year-old woman, Mahalakshmi, was brutally attacked and killed by her 22-year-old boyfriend, Chinna Rao, at her home in Vijayawada on Saturday. The couple had been in a relationship for six months, but it reportedly turned strained as the woman began distancing herself. Their relationship faced opposition from Chinna's family due to the woman's financial condition. Following a recent argument, Chinna allegedly attacked Mahalakshmi with a knife, causing fatal injuries. He later died by suicide by jumping from a neighbouring building.
