R Smaran's 68 steers Rest of India to 237 against J&K in Irani Cup

Ravichandran Smaran played a crucial rescue act for Rest of India on day one of the Irani Cup against Jammu & Kashmir. Sent in to bat, Rest of India were struggling at 155 for seven before Smaran scored a composed 68 off 83 balls. He found support from Shikhar Mohan, who contributed 60 runs. Their efforts helped Rest of India post a total of 237 in 68.1 overs. J&K's bowlers, including Sunil Kumar and Lone Nasir Muzaffar, took three wickets each.
