CDSCO Warns of Kidney Risks from Painkillers, Antibiotics

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has issued an advisory warning about the risks of repeated painkiller use and antibiotic misuse. Prolonged or unregulated use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can accelerate kidney function decline, especially in those with existing kidney disease. Self-medication with antibiotics is also cautioned against. Doctors are advised to use the lowest effective NSAID dose for the shortest duration.

केंद्रीय औषधि मानक नियंत्रण संगठन (CDSCO) ने दर्द निवारक दवाओं के बार-बार इस्तेमाल और एंटीबायोटिक के गलत इस्तेमाल के खतरों को लेकर एक सलाह जारी की है। NSAIDs का लंबे समय तक या बिना डॉक्टरी सलाह के इस्तेमाल से किडनी की कार्यक्षमता कम हो सकती है, खासकर उन लोगों में जिन्हें पहले से किडनी की बीमारी है। एंटीबायोटिक दवाओं से खुद का इलाज करने से भी बचने को कहा गया है।
