Bengaluru SIT Raids Three Pharmacies in Fake Medicine Racket Probe

SIT has raided three pharmacies in RR Nagar, Chamarajapet, and Thalaghattapura as part of an ongoing investigation into a counterfeit medicine racket. The raids followed the interrogation of key accused Prashanth and distributor Veeresh Jain. Officials seized suspected fake medicines and issued notices to pharmacy owners, who are being questioned about their dealings with the accused. The SIT aims to reconstruct the supply chain, identify all involved parties, and determine if counterfeit drugs entered the legitimate medical system.

एसआईटी ने नकली दवा रैकेट की चल रही जांच के तहत आरआर नगर, चामराजपेट और ठ लागट्टापुरा में तीन फार्मेसी पर छापे मारे हैं। ये छापे मुख्य आरोपी प्रशांत और वितरक वीरेश जैन से पूछताछ के बाद मारे गए। अधिकारियों ने संदिग्ध नकली दवाएं जब्त कीं और फार्मेसी मालिकों को नोटिस जारी किए, जिनसे आरोपियों के साथ उनके लेन-देन के बारे में पूछताछ की जा रही है। एसआईटी का लक्ष्य आपूर्ति श्रृंखला का पुनर्निर्माण करना, सभी शामिल पक्षों की पहचान करना और यह पता लगाना है कि क्या नकली दवाएं वैध चिकित्सा प्रणाली में पहुंची हैं।
