Hubble Captures Expanding Crab Nebula Remnants
Times of India - India · india
Nearly 1,000 years after a supernova lit up Earth's sky, the Hubble Space Telescope has captured new images of its expanding remnants, the Crab Nebula. Astronomers observed gas filaments moving outwards, indicating the nebula is still actively changing. The central Crab Pulsar continues to energize the nebula's glow, with scientists also identifying previously unrecognised filament structures within this ancient stellar explosion's aftermath.
