Telangana Launches Traceability Project For GI-Tagged Tandur Red Gram

Telangana has launched a traceability project for its GI-tagged Tandur Red Gram to protect its identity and prevent counterfeit sales. The initiative aims to ensure only produce grown by registered farmers within the approved region carries the verified origin. The project will digitally profile approximately 65,000 farmers, linking their identity with land, crop, and harvest records. This system will track the produce from farm to distribution, helping farmers earn higher market value. The agriculture department awarded the project to TRST01 under the NeGPA scheme.

तेलंगाना ने अपनी जीआई-टैग वाली तंदूर रेड ग्राम की पहचान की रक्षा करने और नकली बिक्री को रोकने के लिए एक ट्रेसिबिलिटी प्रोजेक्ट लॉन्च किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि केवल स्वीकृत क्षेत्र के भीतर पंजीकृत किसानों द्वारा उगाए गए उत्पाद ही सत्यापित मूल के हों। यह प्रोजेक्ट लगभग 65,000 किसानों की डिजिटल प्रोफाइल बनाएगा, उनकी पहचान को भूमि, फसल और कटाई के रिकॉर्ड से जोड़ेगा। यह सिस्टम खेत से वितरण तक उत्पाद को ट्रैक करेगा, जिससे किसानों को बाजार में अधिक मूल्य अर्जित करने में मदद मिलेगी। कृषि विभाग ने NeGPA योजना के तहत TRST01 को यह प्रोजेक्ट सौंपा है।
