Buxar Police Sub-Inspector Caught Red-Handed Accepting Rs 50,000 Bribe

A sub-inspector from Brahmpur police station in Buxar district, identified as Neeraj Kumar, was apprehended by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. The money was reportedly demanded for taking action on a case filed by Amarnath Kumar Yadav, whose mother had lodged an FIR. Following verification of the complaint, a trap was set, leading to Kumar's arrest inside his police station room. He will be presented before the Special Vigilance Court in Patna after interrogation.

बक्सर जिले के ब्रह्मपुर थाना के सब-इंस्पेक्टर नीरज कुमार को विजिलेंस जांच ब्यूरो ने ₹50,000 की रिश्वत लेते हुए पकड़ा। यह पैसा कथित तौर पर अमरनाथ कुमार यादव द्वारा दर्ज कराए गए एक मामले में कार्रवाई के लिए मांगा गया था, जिनकी मां ने एफआईआर दर्ज कराई थी। शिकायत के सत्यापन के बाद जाल बिछाया गया, जिससे कुमार को उनके थाना कक्ष के अंदर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। पूछताछ के बाद उन्हें पटना की विशेष विजिलेंस कोर्ट में पेश किया जाएगा।
