Annamalai Questions CJP Leaders' Continued Custody, Cites Rule of Law Concerns

Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai has expressed concern over the continued judicial custody of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. He questioned the Delhi Police's handling of the case, suggesting they may have taken the law into their hands. Annamalai stated that while he may disagree with CJP's methods, their arrest and prolonged detention for protesting at Jantar Mantar could strengthen their cause. He believes the police are doing a disservice by keeping the leaders in jail, potentially causing institutional damage.

तमिलनाडु भाजपा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष के अन्नामलाई ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (सीजेपी) के नेताओं सौरव दास और आशुतोष रंका की लगातार न्यायिक हिरासत पर चिंता जताई है। उन्होंने दिल्ली पुलिस के मामले को संभालने के तरीके पर सवाल उठाया, यह सुझाव देते हुए कि उन्होंने कानून को अपने हाथ में लिया हो सकता है। अन्नामलाई ने कहा कि भले ही वे सीजेपी के तरीकों से असहमत हों, लेकिन जंतर मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए उनकी गिरफ्तारी और लंबी हिरासत उनके उद्देश्य को मजबूत कर सकती है। उनका मानना है कि पुलिस नेताओं को जेल में रखकर नुकसान पहुंचा रही है, जिससे संस्थागत क्षति हो सकती है।
