South Africa President Warns Against Reckless AI

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa urged caution regarding artificial intelligence at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. He stated that AI should neither be feared nor allowed to develop recklessly, emphasizing the need for human governance to advance alongside the technology. Ramaphosa stressed that governments must understand AI and actively shape its development to prevent an uncontrollable ecosystem. The BRICS New Delhi Declaration also called for safe, secure, reliable, and inclusive AI.

दक्षिण अफ्रीका के राष्ट्रपति सिरिल रामफोसा ने नई दिल्ली में ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) को लेकर सावधानी बरतने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने कहा कि AI से डरना नहीं चाहिए और न ही इसे बेकाबू होने देना चाहिए। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि तकनीक के साथ-साथ इंसानी नियंत्रण भी ज़रूरी है। रामफोसा ने कहा कि सरकारों को AI को समझना चाहिए और इसके विकास को नियंत्रित करना चाहिए ताकि यह अनियंत्रित न हो जाए।
