Muzaffarnagar's electoral landscape has seen significant shifts ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. While the BJP swept all six seats in 2017, their tally reduced to two in 2022, with the SP-RLD alliance winning four. The 2024 Lok Sabha polls further indicated a change as the SP defeated the BJP's Sanjeev Balyan. Notably, RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary, who allied with the SP in 2022, has now joined the NDA and is a Union Minister. The RLD will contest the 2027 elections with the NDA.
