Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has requested the Union government's cooperation to boost maritime economic activities. During a meeting with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Naidu discussed port development, a terminal at Mulapeta Port, and establishing a shipbuilding centre at Dugarajapatnam. He highlighted that developing shipbuilding, ship repair, and marine engineering sectors alongside ports will generate significant employment and investment. Naidu also sought central support for developing the Mulapeta Port terminal and its allied infrastructure, emphasizing its potential to enhance commercial activities in North Andhra.
