UPI To Charge MDR On High-Value Transactions

NPCI will introduce a MDR for UPI payments exceeding ₹2,000 starting October 15, marking a significant monetisation shift for the platform. This charge will apply to merchants for P2M transactions, with a rate of 0.4% capped at ₹300 for transactions of ₹75,000 and above. P2P payments and QR code transactions for small merchants receiving up to ₹1 Lakh monthly will remain free.

अक्टूबर से ₹2,000 से ज़्यादा के UPI पेमेंट पर NPCI MDR लागू करेगा। यह प्लेटफॉर्म के लिए कमाई का एक बड़ा कदम है। यह चार्ज व्यापारियों पर P2M ट्रांजैक्शन के लिए लगेगा, जिसकी दर 0.4% होगी और ₹75,000 या उससे ज़्यादा के ट्रांजैक्शन पर ₹300 तक सीमित रहेगी। P2P पेमेंट और छोटे व्यापारियों के लिए ₹1 लाख तक के QR कोड ट्रांजैक्शन फ्री रहेंगे।
