Odisha Border Seizure: 440 Kg Ganja Worth Rs 2.2 Crore Intercepted, Two Held

Jashpur district police in Chhattisgarh seized over 440 kg of ganja, valued at approximately Rs 2.20 crore, near the Odisha border on Friday. Two individuals transporting the contraband in a mini-truck towards Uttar Pradesh were arrested. The ganja was found concealed beneath chilli sacks in a vehicle intercepted at the Lavakera check post. The arrested men revealed the drugs were sourced from Odisha's Baudh region and destined for Prayagraj. Police have initiated a case under the NDPS Act and are investigating the wider trafficking network.

छत्तीसगढ़ के जशपुर जिले की पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को ओडिशा सीमा के पास से 440 किलो से ज़्यादा गांजा ज़ब्त किया है, जिसकी कीमत करीब 2.20 करोड़ रुपये है। उत्तर प्रदेश की ओर गांजा ले जा रहे दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। यह गांजा लवकेरा चेक पोस्ट पर रोके गए एक मिनी ट्रक में मिर्च की बोरियों के नीचे छिपा हुआ मिला। पकड़े गए लोगों ने बताया कि यह माल ओडिशा के बौद्ध क्षेत्र से लाया गया था और प्रयागराज ले जाया जा रहा था। पुलिस ने NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और बड़े तस्करी नेटवर्क की जांच कर रही है।
