Delhi HC Orders WFI to Decide on Vinesh Phogat Show-Cause Notices Within Two Weeks

The Delhi High Court has directed the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) to resolve show-cause notices issued to wrestler Vinesh Phogat within two weeks. These notices pertain to alleged indiscipline, anti-doping violations, and misconduct during Asian Games selection trials. Justice Amit Mahajan stressed the importance of a sportsperson's mental state for performance. The court warned that any decision made after the two-week deadline would be held in abeyance until the next hearing on January 20. Phogat's petition to quash these notices was considered genuine by the court.

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने रेसलिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (WFI) को पहलवान विनेश फोगाट को जारी कारण बताओ नोटिस का दो हफ़्ते के अंदर समाधान करने का निर्देश दिया है। ये नोटिस एशियन गेम्स चयन ट्रायल के दौरान कथित अनुशासनहीनता, डोपिंग-रोधी उल्लंघन और कदाचार से संबंधित हैं। जस्टिस अमित महाजन ने प्रदर्शन के लिए एक खिलाड़ी की मानसिक स्थिति के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया। अदालत ने चेतावनी दी कि दो हफ़्ते की समय सीमा के बाद लिया गया कोई भी फ़ैसला अगली सुनवाई 20 जनवरी तक स्थगित रखा जाएगा। अदालत ने फोगाट की इन नोटिसों को रद्द करने की याचिका को जायज़ माना।
