External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar sharply responded to a Pakistani reporter at the UN General Assembly, calling Pakistan a "terrorist country." The reporter attempted to interrupt a remarks-only press briefing with a question on terrorism. Jaishankar was in New York leading India's delegation for the High Level Week at the 81st UNGA session. India has consistently urged Pakistan to take credible action against cross-border terrorism. The nation has also raised concerns over terror financing and individuals finding shelter in Pakistan.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा में एक पाकिस्तानी रिपोर्टर को कड़ा जवाब देते हुए पाकिस्तान को "आतंकवादी देश" कहा। रिपोर्टर ने आतंकवाद पर सवाल पूछकर एक प्रेस ब्रीफिंग में बाधा डालने की कोशिश की। जयशंकर न्यूयॉर्क में 81वें UNGA सत्र में भारत के प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व कर रहे थे। भारत लगातार पाकिस्तान से सीमा पार आतंकवाद के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने को कहता रहा है। देश ने आतंकी फंडिंग और पाकिस्तान में पनाह पाने वाले लोगों पर भी चिंता जताई है।
