Hit-and-run victim's parents claim murder, file petition

Parents of a 21-year-old woman, R Bhumika, who died in a hit-and-run accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, have filed a petition claiming she was murdered. The incident occurred near Channapatna when a speeding sedan hit her while she was crossing the road. Hours earlier, Bhumika was reportedly involved in a fight with her friend Kiran and his brother Ashish. While police investigations currently indicate a hit-and-run, the family insists on a murder investigation.
