Hockey India will hold elections for its new office-bearers and executive committee for the 2026-30 term. The election process has begun amidst disputes over the validity of member-unit elections and voting rights in several states. Complaints have surfaced from states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Assam, questioning electoral processes and compliance with the National Sports Governance Act. The Hockey Association of Odisha's proposed elections were halted due to concerns over district-unit documentation, leading to a show-cause notice.
