Sebi Revamps Document Verification System, Adds Subject Matter as Mandatory Field

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has revamped its Document Number Verification System to enhance credibility. The subject matter of a Sebi letter is now a mandatory field for verifying physical letters or notices. This modification aligns the system with Sebi's E-Office system's outward number format. Recipients can now verify if a letter, including notices and show cause notices, was genuinely issued by Sebi by entering details like outward number, official's name, date, subject, and recipient's name.

भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) ने विश्वसनीयता बढ़ाने के लिए अपने डॉक्यूमेंट नंबर वेरिफिकेशन सिस्टम को सुधारा है। अब भौतिक पत्रों या नोटिसों को सत्यापित करने के लिए सेबी पत्र का विषय एक अनिवार्य फ़ील्ड है। यह बदलाव सिस्टम को सेबी के ई-ऑफिस सिस्टम के आउटवर्ड नंबर फॉर्मेट के अनुरूप बनाता है। प्राप्तकर्ता अब आउटवर्ड नंबर, अधिकारी का नाम, तारीख, विषय और प्राप्तकर्ता का नाम जैसे विवरण दर्ज करके सत्यापित कर सकते हैं कि कोई पत्र, जिसमें नोटिस और कारण बताओ नोटिस शामिल हैं, वास्तव में सेबी द्वारा जारी किया गया था।
