Supreme Court Allows Green Crackers For Two Days In Delhi-NCR

The Supreme Court has permitted Delhi-NCR residents to burst green firecrackers on November 7 and 8, 2026, with strict time and location restrictions. Green crackers can only be used between 6 am and 7 am, and again from 8 pm to 10 pm. The court also prohibited their use within 300 metres of hospitals, nursing homes, educational institutions, and designated silence zones. These areas will be marked as 'No-Cracker Zones' to ensure compliance. This ruling comes as Delhi's air quality has worsened, with the AQI reaching 'very poor' levels.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर के निवासियों को 7 और 8 नवंबर, 2026 को ग्रीन पटाखे चलाने की इजाज़त दे दी है, लेकिन समय और जगह को लेकर सख्त पाबंदियां रहेंगी। ग्रीन पटाखे केवल सुबह 6 बजे से 7 बजे तक और फिर रात 8 बजे से 10 बजे तक ही इस्तेमाल किए जा सकेंगे। कोर्ट ने अस्पतालों, नर्सिंग होम, शिक्षण संस्थानों और तय साइलेंस जोन के 300 मीटर के दायरे में इनके इस्तेमाल पर भी रोक लगा दी है। नियमों का पालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए इन इलाकों को 'नो-क्रैकर जोन' घोषित किया जाएगा। यह फैसला ऐसे समय में आया है जब दिल्ली की हवा की गुणवत्ता खराब हो गई है और AQI 'बहुत खराब' स्तर पर पहुंच गया है।
