Retired IAS Officer and Son Beat Man to Death on Delhi Metro

A 48-year-old man, Pawan Sharma, died after allegedly being assaulted by a retired IAS officer and his son on a Delhi Metro train on October 8. The victim's mother stated that the retired officer asked Sharma to vacate a senior citizen's seat, and when Sharma complied and made a remark, the officer and his advocate son allegedly attacked him. Sharma fell unconscious and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

8 अक्टूबर को दिल्ली मेट्रो ट्रेन में एक रिटायर्ड IAS अधिकारी और उसके बेटे ने 48 वर्षीय पवन शर्मा नाम के शख्स को कथित तौर पर पीटा, जिसके बाद उसकी मौत हो गई। पीड़ित की माँ ने बताया कि रिटायर्ड अधिकारी ने शर्मा से एक वरिष्ठ नागरिक की सीट खाली करने को कहा था, और जब शर्मा ने बात मान ली और कोई टिप्पणी की, तो अधिकारी और उसके वकील बेटे ने कथित तौर पर उस पर हमला कर दिया। शर्मा बेहोश हो गए और अस्पताल ले जाने पर उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया गया।
