CCI Fines HP India ₹140 Cr For GeM

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed a penalty of ₹140 crore on HP India for rigging tenders on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The fines, split into ₹126.9 crore for personal computer systems and ₹11.98 crore for printing supplies, stem from HP dictating bid prices to resellers and withholding authorisations.

भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (CCI) ने HP India पर सरकारी ई-मार्केटप्लेस (GeM) पोर्टल पर टेंडर में हेरफेर करने के लिए ₹140 करोड़ का जुर्माना लगाया है। यह जुर्माना, जिसमें ₹126.9 करोड़ पर्सनल कंप्यूटर सिस्टम के लिए और ₹11.98 करोड़ प्रिंटिंग सप्लाई के लिए हैं, HP द्वारा पुनर्विक्रेताओं को बोली की कीमतें तय करने और प्राधिकरणों को रोकने के कारण लगाया गया है।
