Former India batter Wasim Jaffer believes Virat Kohli was "a bit bitter" about how his Test retirement was handled. Jaffer suggested Kohli, a player with immense following, could have played more Test cricket. He noted that Kohli was preparing for the England tour and had discussed playing India A matches. Jaffer's comments came while assessing departing chief selector Ajit Agarkar's tenure, praising white-ball success but questioning the treatment of senior players like Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
