NY Highway Worker's Invention Wins National Award

A New York highway superintendent has received national recognition for inventing a snow-fence pole remover using scrap materials. Mike Zaleski built the tool from an old golf-cart wheel and scrap tubing, costing the department nothing. This innovation significantly reduced the time needed to remove snow fence poles from three weeks to about a week and a half. It also prevents the back strain and injuries workers previously experienced.
