Hardik Pandya's comeback has been hampered by a fresh shin injury, ruling him out of the upcoming white-ball tour of New Zealand. He was slated to return for India A against Australia A on October 6, but scan reports revealed an injury to his right shin. Pandya has been advised two weeks of rest, and the BCCI medical panel will assess him upon their return from Japan. This setback effectively ends his chances of playing in the New Zealand series, which begins October 22.
