Woman Booked Under PD Act For Illegal Liquor

Police in Borabanda have invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against a 45-year-old woman for allegedly running an illegal liquor shop. The accused, Vemula Sarala, has been repeatedly involved in unauthorised liquor sales over the past few years. The PD orders were issued by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar under the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act. Authorities have warned others involved in similar activities and stated that habitual offenders could face PD Act charges.

बोराबंदा पुलिस ने 45 साल की एक महिला पर अवैध शराब की दुकान चलाने के आरोप में प्रीवेंटिव डिटेंशन (PD) एक्ट लगाया है। आरोपी, वेमुला सरला, पिछले कुछ सालों से बार-बार अनधिकृत शराब की बिक्री में शामिल रही है। PD के आदेश हैदराबाद पुलिस कमिश्नर V.C. Sajjanar ने तेलंगाना प्रीवेंशन ऑफ डेंजरस एक्टिविटीज एक्ट के तहत जारी किए थे। अधिकारियों ने ऐसी गतिविधियों में शामिल अन्य लोगों को चेतावनी दी है और कहा है कि आदतन अपराधियों पर PD एक्ट के तहत कार्रवाई हो सकती है।
