Russia has agreed to hire approximately 70,000 skilled Indian workers this year, primarily in the construction and logistics sectors. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed a parliamentary consultative committee about this agreement during a briefing on India-Russia relations. The discussions also covered expanding bilateral trade, investment, and energy cooperation, with India aiming for balanced trade and increased exports in seven key areas. Additionally, the minister updated the panel on government efforts to secure the release of Indian nationals serving in the Russian military.
