Ukrainian strikes have damaged three of Yandex's five main data centres, disrupting essential digital services for Russian users. This has left individuals unable to access bank accounts, book taxis, and unlock smart home devices. The attacks, which began on October 8, follow similar Russian strikes on Ukrainian data centres. While most Yandex services have resumed, some users still face financial difficulties due to disruptions with Yandex Pay, impacting their ability to access funds. This escalation brings Russia's digital infrastructure directly into the conflict.
