15 Villagers Booked For Obstructing Forest Officials During Leopard Rescue

In Tumakuru, forest and veterinary officials faced obstruction from approximately 15 villagers while attempting to rescue a leopard stranded on a tree. The villagers allegedly gathered, created a commotion, and verbally abused the officials, even obstructing a government vehicle. Despite the disruption, the leopard managed to escape the tree and flee the area. A case has been registered against the 15 villagers based on a complaint filed by the deputy director of Bannerghatta Biological Park. The incident occurred after the Tumakuru Dasara festivities concluded.
