This individual had attended to the country's first Ebola patient, who travelled from DR Congo and later died. The outbreak in neighbouring DR Congo has now spread to an eighth province, Nord-Ubangi, bordering the Central African Republic. This expansion raises significant concerns about further cross-border transmission across the region, as the deadliest Ebola outbreak in Congo's history continues.
